1 crore 60 lakh Nokia
phones made available in the third quarter of 2017
Within a year of coming into existence, HMD Global has
quickly brought Nokia brands back to the global mobile market. Counterpoint
Research has claimed that in the third quarter, the company has sold 28 lakh
Nokia Android smartphones and 1 crore 35 lakh Nokia feature phones.
Counterpoint Research shared the shipping data of HMD Global
with NokiaPower User. According to these figures, HMD Global sold 2.8 million
units. While Nokia's 13.5 million units of feature phone range were sold. Along
with these figures, Nokia has reached number three in the feature phone
companies, and Nokia has got 16th among smartphone companies.
Claiming in a statement, Counterpoint Research said,
"With Nokia's return to the market, HMD Global has achieved the third
place in the feature phone segment by Nokia. Nokia's smartphones get faster
growth in the latest quarter. "
With the emergence of mobile market last year, HMD Global
has consistently launched smartphones in the Nokia range. From budget
smartphones like Nokia 2 to premium Nokia 8 and new avatars Nokia 3310, HMD has
introduced it in every price segment for different buyers.
Nokia 2 was launched in India in October for Rs 6,999.
Smartphone is claimed to get 2-day battery life. Nokia 2 Android 7.1.1 with
Dual-SIM support runs on Nuga and has 5 inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display.
Information about Nokia 9 is constantly leaked and news is
coming out. The flagship smartphone will have a dual front camera setup on the
front. If this happens, then this will be the first phone of the Nokia family
to come with two selfie cameras.
